We’ve been working lately on the engineering of an existing floating Roll-on Roll-off quay in Lovö, Stockholm, part of Trafikverkets project E4 Bypass Stockholm, which needed to be stabilized by adding additional buoyancy to the quay. We made a design to stabilize the quay by installing additional pontoons, taking into consideration the current condition of the quay.
An inspection officer, hired by Trafikverket, said after the inspection of the installation process of the steel pontoons that he was very happy with our design and how the installations steps were presented. He said: “I have been working from the early 1980´s and I have never seen a design pedagogical as this.”
