Temporarily lifting facility for the crane vessel ‘Thialf’
Project description
The biggest crane vessel on the world, the ‘Thialf’, needed a temporarily lifting facility to carry out maintenance and reparations. MH Poly was involved in the design of the temporarily lifting facility, a steel support structure which is attached to the main crane of the ‘Thialf’.
Project activities
Design, drawing and calculation of:
- Connection of the crane beams to the existing;
- Columns of the crane beams tot the deck;
- Connection of the columns to the beams of the crane;
- Connection of the columns to the deck.
