Lock Empel: Fendering and guiding constructions

Project Description

The realization of the project entails the design and construction of a new shipping channel between river Muse and the Zuid-Willemsvaart. Two new locks have been constructed, one at the town of Hintham and one at Empel. In collaboration with VSF, MH Poly designed the fendering and guiding constructions up- and downstream of the lock at Empel.

Project activities

- Harbour North: floating fendering and guiding works with walkways;
- Harbour South: fixed fendering and guiding works with walkways;
- Design calculations and reports for mooring dolphins, fendering and guiding constructions, walkways (truss bridges);
- Design drawings.
