Design of a fish friendly p-trap
Project description
MH Poly has designed a fish friendly p-trap which operates with a high and low discharge and has no negative influence on the fish population. The p-trap is fully automatic and self-sufficient as it generates energy. The p-trap can be closed during an emergency.
Activities
- Investigation of the current situation;
- Making of the schedule of requirements;
- Making of alternatives at preliminary design level;
- Testing various alternatives via a Multi criteria analysis;
- Design of the p-trap on final design level;
- Hydraulic design;
- Design of a cofferdam for the construction of the p-trap;
- Making of a complete report.
